Previously the North East Head of Tax at Azets, Big 4 trained and FCA qualified mixed accounts and tax professional with a specialism in property taxes.  Qualified with KPMG and now with over 20 years experience providing tax advice to both private owner managed business and public sectors, including manufacturers, chemicals, engineering, and property businesses. 

Well connected in the region after advising clients in the North East marketplace and prior to this across Yorkshire.  Experience in a wide ranging portfolio of clients from listed Plc’s to family companies all facing the same complex issues.

  • Accounts preparation including FRS102 and IFRS
  • Corporate and personal tax compliance, corporate and personal tax advisory, mixed tax property acquisition and disposal advice, capital allowances, innovation tax reliefs, transfer pricing and leasing, stamp taxes, property fund structuring, PFI bid support and negotiation
  • Significant experience in the audit of tax for large multi-national groups including complex deferred tax accounting.
  • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office, including the use of complex logic statements in Excel for financial modelling purposes
  • Highly effective team working, both as a team member and team / project leader
